James Drummond Descendancy to William Waite

JAMES DRUMMOND, 6th Earl of Perth, was born on 11th of May 1713 in Drummond Castle, Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland. After the Battle of Culloden he escaped to Biddick in Washington, Durham, England. He lived there and married Elizabeth Armstrong, the daughter of John Armstrong, on 16th of November 1749, in St. Michael's church of Houghton le Spring, County Durham. James eventually died in Biddick on 1st of June 1782.

Oldest son of James Drummond and Elizabeth (nee Armstrong) was:-
JAMES DRUMMOND who was born on 1st of August 1752 in Biddick, Washington and was baptised on 9th of August 1752, at the Parish church of Houghton le Spring. He married Margaret Pearson on 12th of April 1776 in the Chapelry of Penshaw, County Durham. and worked as a coal miner. He made no attempt to claim the title of the Earl of Perth.
James died on 7th of February 1823 in Biddick, Washington and he was buried on 11th of February in Penshaw.

THOMAS DRUMMOND who was born on 17th of May 1792 in Biddick, Washington, Thomas Drummond was destined to be the descendant to fight a legal battle in court to win back the titles and lands which his grandfather James had to forfeit after the Battle of Culloden. Thomas married Jane Burn on 14th of May 1815 at
All Saints Church, Penshaw. Jane was born on 8th of April 1811, and died on 2nd of April, 1871. Thomas died on 8th of November, 1873 in Biddick, Washington. Thomas was buried on 22nd of November 1873, in Penshaw Cemetery. Jane is also buried in Penshaw cemetery. 

Youngest child of Thomas Drummond and Jane (nee Burn) was:-
MARY HENRIETTA DRUMMOND was born on 29th of October 1839 in New Painshaw, Durham. She married William Waites on 26th of December 1863, in the Parish Church at Penshaw. William, son of Thomas and Catherine Waites, was born in 1839 in Gateshead, Catherine died on 24th of April 1912 at 6, Miners Homes, Shiney Row, Penshaw, Newbottle.
  William died on 17th of March 1922 at 1, Chapel Row, Philadelphia.

Only known son of Mary Henrietta and William Waite was:
THOMAS FRANKLIN WAITES was born on 3rd of April 1868, New Painshaw. Thomas married Jane Hannah Geldard on 2nd of March 1895 in the Register Office, Gateshead. Daughter of Charles Geldard and Jane (nee Lazenby), Jane was born on 7th of February, 1873 in Park Place, Darlington. Thomas Franklin Waites died on 12th of December 1914, in the Sunderland General Infirmary.

Second son of Thomas Waites and Jane (nee Geldard) was:-
WILLIAM WAITES, my grandfather. William was born on 14th of September, 1899, in Back Lane, Newbottle. William was awarded the General Service Medal and the Victory medal for his service in the West Riding Regiment and the 2nd Battalion of the Manchester Regiment during the First World War.
William died on 22nd of August, 1979 at New Herrington, Tyne and Wear.
